Freely in Hope (FIH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports survivors of sexual violence in Zambia and Kenya. FIH equips survivors with holistic support including education, safe housing, legal aid, mentorship, counseling, and healthcare. The REACH Lab is honored for FIH to be our community partner.

Dr. Yang is the founding faculty adviser for USF's Psychology Student Association (PSA), which was created to foster community within the Psychology Department. PSA runs the Psych Buddy Program connecting incoming first years and transfer students with seasoned majors to facilitate connection and engagement for all members of our department. PSA also hosts events throughout the semester, such as Faculty Bagel Chats and Wellness Week programming during finals.

Pre-Mental Health

Dr. Yang and Rachel have created Pre-Mental Health (PrMH) Career Advising resources for USF and Dr. Yang serves as the PrMH advisor.

AATSF is a non-profit foundation that provides scholarships and resources to support African American teachers in high-needs schools. Dr. Yang serves as a board member for AATSF.

Active Minds is a national student-led organization that aims to open up conversations about mental health through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on underrepresented populations. Dr. Yang is the founding adviser for USF's campus chapter of Active Minds.
